Check in time for Honolulu Interisland flights

Check in time for Honolulu Interisland flights?
Pur flight is Saturday Nov 8, departing 7pm from Honolulu to Maui. What time is REASONABLE for check in ? We are thinking 90 minutes prior?

For an Inter- Island flight that is plenty of time...especially if you do a online check-in the previous night...but even if you don't you'll be fine with that much time.Aloha

Interisland flight boarding is mostly 30min before departure, meaning even with check-in 45 min - 1hr prior to flight, you are fine, provided you did get your boarding pass the night before. Interisland flights usually ask for 1 hour checkin (some are ven 30 min) but it's always a good idea to give yourself a little extra time, because if you leave it right on the line and something happens in the lineup ahead of you, you can lose previous time and miss your flight. Best idea is to check with the airlines. They'll be happy to tell you what their checkin times are.

If you are leaving from the Interisland Terminal on a jet (Gates 55-66, Hawaiian Air) you may want to arrive 90 minutes before takeoff, maybe. If you are leaving from the commuter terminal on a prop plane (Gates 71-80, Island Air and 9-seater planes), 60 minutes should be fine. The line through security in the Commuter Terminal may be as deep as four or five passengers!
