Can I get to the Island Air terminal in Honolulu without leaving the secure area when connecting

Can I get to the Island Air terminal in Honolulu without leaving the secure area when connecting ?
I am arriving on Continental Airlines and Island Airs fares are much lower than Aloha or Hawaiian and I am considering them for a flight to and from Maui. Can I get to the commuter terminal without leaving the secure area and re-entering again?

Call the airline and ask.

You cannot get to the commuter terminal without leaving the secure area of the main terminal. The quickest way there is to catch a shuttle in front of the main terminal. Or exit at the interisland terminal just past Hawaiian gates and take a short walk to the commuter terminal where you will need to re-enter another secure area.

I think there is a pedestrian concourse during the day from the international to the domestic terminal but it closes mid- evening when the domestic flights stop. You may have another security stop tho' these days, once you get to it by that concourse.
