Travel from Honolulu to Maui?

I'm flying from LAX to Honolulu for a wedding in Maui, only because it was the cheapest flight. Now how the heck do I get from Honolulu to Maui, and how much does it cost? How far is it really? Thanks!

Its going to run you about $150 round trip to fly. It takes normally no longer than 30 min with out any delays. They also have the super Ferry I don't know how much it cost or how long it will take but I have heard that Its not running it right now. I hope you have fun!

If you haven't purchased your ticket, there are flights directly from LAX to Maui (United) which would save you the extra airfare. If you have bought your ticket, look up Hawaiian Airlines or Aloha Airlines. It will cost about $150 roundtrip, for this up and down flight. They have multiple flights during the day.

Best way is to fly, unless you are a powerful swimmer. Aloha, Hawaiian, Mesa, Island Air are going to run you about $90-100 round trip. Just check on kayak.com for a round trip flight from HNL to OGG, punch your dates in. Good idea to allow at least an hour to an hour and a half for your connection (each direction) as you will most likely have to change terminals from the main one to the inter-island terminal (to the left as you come out) to make your connecting flight. Unless of course you are coming in on Aloha or Hawaiian? At least a lot of the inter-island flights go off about every hour. Also do a google search for the Honolulu airport map; makes it easier when you change planes in Honolulu. A lot of times if you know your connecting flight and airline they will check your bags all the way through for you.

When are you planning on going to Maui? If you haven't yet booked your flight to Honolulu, consider Hawaiian Airlines. If you decide on Hawaiian Air, join their HawaiianMiles club. It's free and you can get $10.00 off a roundtrip ticket from the mainland to Hawaii. If you like Hawaii, which you probably will, you can bank those miles as long as you travel on Hawaiian Airlines every three years. Flying from Honolulu to Maui will cost about $110 roundtrip and they probably have the most interisland flights of all the airlines. I'm going to Maui and Oahu in August on Hawaiian Airlines from Sacramento and they are cheaper than Aloha Airlines during that time span. This will be our seventh trip. Aloha and have a great time.
