Honolulu to pay tribute to former US Sen. Akaka


HONOLULU (AP) — Honolulu will pay tribute to former U.S. Sen. Daniel Akaka as he celebrates his 90th birthday. The retired senator turns 90 on Thursday. On Friday, Mayor Kirk Caldwell and the city will honor Akaka at an event at Mission Memorial Auditorium.
