I am staying in honolulu, HI and want to spend 2 nights on another island. which island should I go to?
I would like a hotel/flight package from honolulu the is reasonably priced for one person (under $500)

Maui's beaches are the best. I would say Kauai is shows you more of the laid back, authentic lifestyle with breathtaking mountains and rainforests. Hawai`i (The Big Island) has the most diverse landtypes (desert, rainforest, temperate, and even snow on the highest peaks) and, of course, you can go right up and see the lava flows that are constantly erupting from the mountain at Volcanoes National Park. Those are my top suggestions.

I found Wikaki to be very beautiful.The white beaches and it also has a zoo.

maui... definetly. its absolutely beautiful

Kaui - the most beautiful and sooooo chilled out - hire a jeep and drive around - you will be blown away

It depends on what you would like to experience. Personally, the Island of Hawaii (the Big Island) is an awesome experience. The Volcanoes National Park is an experience that will leave you in awe. The Big Island also has Hilo, a rural town that will let you experience rural Hawaii, a contrast to Waikiki/Honolulu. Kona, also the the Big Island, is a resort town. Lots of nature to see on the Big Island like rainforests, waterfalls, lava fields, Hawaiian ranches, black sand beaches, etc.
