My husband got approved to come home for the birth of our child! Need to find cheap flight Japan to Hawaii!?
He is in Okinawa and I am in Honolulu. I need a round trip ticket for him. Dec. 21 2009 to Jan. 1 2010 is the days he has to take. I can't seem to be able to find any cheap flights. He is in the marines. Help would be appreciated! Thanks!! I am trying to find one non-stop? Just a straight through flight back and forth.

The Cheapest Thing I Saw From Okinawa to Honolulu for that time frame was 1200. And...I Don't think that's considered cheap. Um. Have You Guys Ever Heard On A Military Hopp? They're annoying...and space isn't ALWAYS gaurenteed...but They Are Extremely Cheap. I Know he'd have to fill out paperwork and hope for space. But That's Something you could look into. But I Mean...If It's 1200 NOW...This Far Away Imagine When The date gets closer and closer. Good Luck.

he can attempt Space A flights from Kadena AFB on Okinawa to Hickam AFB They do have those but unfortunatly they can be canceled, bumped, etc... He would be a higher category though compared to others. You can try to find information here: http://www.spacea.net ; http://www.pepperd.com ; http://www.takeahop.org Looking at Travelocity I found a few tickets starting around $1100 round trip which actually isn't bad. Have you checked with Sato Travel on base for deals as well? Sometimes they can get them. He should try himself there because sometimes they can get deals that way flying home cheaper than what you can find. There is no flights straight from Okinawa to Honolulu, he will have to go through Narita Airport in Tokyo

No direct flights,has to via tokyo,and it won't be that cheap as its in the peak season of chrisstmas. But the cheapest I could find was China Airlines for $1700 also Jalways for $2000 usd. You can try hawaiian airlines and Japan airlines. If he can't get a hop the lowest I have found is $1118 but that is without military discount which I'm sure most give. Some sites to try is www.bookme.com www.AAA.com www.priceline.com and any of the airline sights for Japan airlines & American airlines. try any travel agencies in your area Unfortunately he will be traveling in peak season with Christmas so he is going to pay top dollar for any of them.
