Will I make my connecting flight at LAX, 2 different airlines..?
I have 1 hr and 10min to connect, flying in from Las Vegas with US Airways (T1) and flying out with United (T7) to Honolulu. Will I make my flight? As well, do I have to claim my bags from T1 and then run or bus with my luggage to T7? Thanks for the 411 or any advice! :) Forgot to add, on my United iteneriary it has my US airway flight listed, so i'm not sure if it'll auto transfer my luggage or not. I booked thru expedia and it was paired. I didn't book it seperate.

You won't have to transfer your luggage -- they'll do it for you. US Airways and United have what is known as an interline baggage agreement, meaning that they will check the luggage all the way through to your final destination and transfer it for you at LAX. That being said, though, 70 minutes is the absolute minimum allowed interline connection time at LAX, and the terminal transfer will require you to leave security, catch a bus around to T7, and go back through security again. While you won't need to check in at United (you'll be able to go straight through security), this is a time where you won't want to delay getting from one gate to another. The connection is doable, but you won't want to waste time in that 70 minutes.

You definitely do not want to just walk at a leisurely pace to get to your United flight. US Airways will check your bags straight to HNL so do not worry about your luggage. You can take the shuttle bus which stops at each terminal or you can walk to T7 since T7 is right across from T1. However there may be a wait at security so I would recommend that you sit closer to the front of the plane on your US Airways flight so you can get off the plane faster.
