Is there a Mapquest for aircraft pilots

Is there a Mapquest for aircraft pilots?
I like to use Mapquest to plan driving trips. I was wondering if there's any similar service for plotting flight paths. (It's kind of hard to drive from Grand Rapids to Honolulu, after all.) Bambi- Yeah, that would be tough to explain, wouldn't it? If anyone's wondering, I'm not a pilot, yet.

if you have the ability to fly from michigan to hawaii you don't hae to ask this question

There are plenty of sites that aid in planning a flight path. There is: www.skyvector.com, www.navmonster.com, and etc. If you are a member of AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association) they have an online service that helps as well. Try a google search on Flight Planning websites. These tools are all great for supplementing flight planning. However, a pilot is responsible for planning the flight, plotting courses, checking the weather, making a nav log, and etc. These services should, in no way, be a substitute for actual flight planning. It wouldn't be a risk I'm willing to take.

If your talking about airline pilots, they don't plan their trips. A dispatcher does it for them at headquarters. They have many tools at their disposal to plan the best route including current pilot reports (pireps) regarding weather along the route.

I use great circle mapper to outline my flights before i load the trip into my GPS.

If your a pilot then just use your gps (most likely a garmin) or when you file your flight plan ask whoever is working to get you a copy of the plans and have them sent to the front desk. Also before flying check the notams for the entire route (because im sure you dont want to go into a no fly zone and have the national guard escort you to the ground)
