Honolulu and Dubai are so far away, that there are no nonstop flights at all.. I believe the shortest you will find will be somewhere from 20-22 hours.. if you take onee stop If you want one stop, the easiest thing to do is make one stop in Los Angeles or in San Francisco... from there, it might take anywhere from 22-33 hours.. Even though going east sounds like you're going a bit further than you would going west, I believe it is a lot cheaper. If you want multiple stops.. there are many places in the US you can stop at such as Houston, Salt Lake City, New York, etc. There is also a good chance you'll have another stop in London if you choose to do this. You can also probably go through Frankfurt, Munich, or Amsterdam if you wanted.. If you choose to do this, it will probably take more than 30 hours to arrive in Dubai though... It also depends on the travel dates... Have fun if you decide to go :)

It will take at least 25 to 29 hours if you go via Japan Narita airport (NRT) , its nonstop from there. The return time is just above 23 hours. You can fly Delta or American airlines to Tokyo, and from there Etihad goes direct. You can also go via US or Canada on same , though it is better to go with American airlines because they have a code sharing with Etihad which will enable you to add up points to your air miles membership. Emirates airline also services Tokyo & Osaka but it does not land in Abu Dhabi.
